Why "Cavalry"?

Historically, cavalry units traveled farther, moved faster, and often arrived where they were needed most.

We've always liked that.

Not because we're trying to romanticize the past, but because the spirit still resonates today: service, grit, preparedness, and showing up when it counts.

Dean & Mona Robbins

Dean and Mona are the husband-and-wife team behind the roastery side of Cavalry Coffee.

Dean retired from the Iowa National Guard as a Command Sergeant Major and now serves as Cavalry’s coffee roaster, bringing the same discipline and attention to detail to every small batch.

Together, Dean and Mona help keep the operation moving and the coffee up to standard.

Keaton & Grace Hewitt

Owners • Operators • Founding Crew

Keaton and Grace are the husband-and-wife team leading the creative side of Cavalry Coffee.

Keaton oversees the branding, design, photography, and marketing that shape the Cavalry experience, while Grace helps support operations and the customer experience behind the scenes.

Together, they are helping build Cavalry from the ground up.
